Loop Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Loop is made by Kitchen Labs. It's a software-engineering interview bootcamp: lessons, animations, practice problems and checkpoints. This page says, in plain English, what happens to your information.
The short version
- Without an account, everything you do in Loop stays in your browser on this device.
- If you choose to make an account, your email address and your study progress are stored on Kitchen Labs' server so your progress follows you to other devices.
- There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Loop doesn't use AI services.
What stays in your browser
Loop saves your progress in your browser's local storage: the lessons you've completed, each problem's status (attempted, solved or marked for review), your checkpoint scores, and how much you did each day (for the activity chart and streak). It also keeps what you type in a problem's scratchpad and whether you closed the sidebar. None of this leaves your device unless you sign in. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it.
The optional account
An account is only for keeping your progress in step across devices. If you make one:
- Your email address and a password are stored by our sign-in service (Supabase). We never see your password; it's stored as a one-way hash. The same Kitchen Labs account works in every Kitchen Labs app.
- Your study progress is copied to Kitchen Labs' database (hosted by Supabase): completed lessons and when, each problem's status, checkpoint scores and dates, and your daily activity counts. Database rules make sure only you can read or change your own progress.
- Scratchpad notes are not synced. They stay on the device where you typed them.
We use your email address only to sign you in. We don't send marketing email.
Deleting your data
- Progress → Reset all progress clears lessons, problems, checkpoints and activity. If you're signed in, it clears the synced copy on every device too.
- To delete your account and everything stored with it, ask through our contact page, giving the address you signed up with. We'll delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
What we don't do
No advertising, no analytics, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling or sharing of data. Loop doesn't ask for your name, location, contacts or anything else. Links to LeetCode take you to LeetCode's own site, which has its own privacy policy.
Children
Loop is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes and contact
