Playground

Privacy

The short version: Playground has no accounts. You type a name for the room, play, and the room clears itself within a day. We keep anonymous gameplay statistics and error reports so we can fix problems, with no names and nothing that identifies you.

What it reads

  • The name you type for a room (14 characters at most).
  • Your moves in a game (taps, picks, movement), sent to the other players in your room while you play.

What it stores

  • An anonymous sign-in id, created on your device so a reload keeps your seat. It is not linked to an email or any account.
  • For each room: its 4-letter code, the names and teams of its players, and the match state (scores, rounds). Rooms are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
  • Gameplay events (for example "a round ended, everyone had finished") with anonymous ids and no names, kept for 90 days to improve the games.
  • Error reports with no personal data (no names, no addresses, no device identifiers), kept for 30 days.
  • On your device: your name and the sound setting, in the browser's local storage.

Photos

Some games use the room owner's own photo pack. Those images are stored privately, are never public, and are shown only to players who have joined a room, through links that expire after an hour.

Who else is involved

  • Supabase hosts the database and the realtime connection.
  • Vercel hosts the website.

Neither receives anything beyond what is listed above. There is no advertising and no tracking across other sites.

Children

Playground is not directed at children under 13.
