Common questions
Can I try Flow without an account? Yes. Tap Try the demo on the sign-in page. It runs on a sample student's term, and anything you change stays in your browser. Reset demo puts the sample data back.
I already use another Kitchen Labs app. How do I sign up? Tap Create account and use the same email and the same password you use in that app. Flow adds itself to your existing Kitchen Labs login.
It says there's no Flow account for my email. Your email has a Kitchen Labs login from another app, but hasn't joined Flow yet. Tap Create account and use that same email and password.
I forgot my password. Flow doesn't have a reset link yet. Email us from your sign-up address and we'll help you get back in.
How do sub-projects work? Open a project and tap Add next to Sub-projects, or pick a parent under Part of when you create one. A class can hold its term project, for example. Sub-projects go one level deep, and a project's progress counts its sub-projects' tasks too.
How do I change dates on the timeline? Drag a bar to move it, or drag either end to change the start or due date. Tap a bar to open it. With a keyboard, the arrow keys move it a day at a time, and Shift with an arrow changes the end date. Milestones move the same way.
How do dates work? Start dates, due dates and milestones are days on your calendar, so a task due October 10 shows October 10 wherever you are. "Due today", "Due in 3 days" and "2 days late" count calendar days. Late tasks show in red and appear under Needs attention on the dashboard. To remove a date, open the task or project, clear the date and tap Save changes.
How do I move a card on the board? With a mouse, drag it to another column. On a phone, press and hold the card, then drop it on a column's tab. With a keyboard, press Space to pick it up, the arrow keys to choose a column, and Space again to drop it. You can also change Status when you open the task.
Why did a task disappear? Check the filters: Hide done, search, and anything under Filters apply to every view. Clear all shows everything again.
Can I format task notes? Yes, notes support Markdown: bold, lists, checklists, links and code. The toolbar above the notes adds them for you.
Does it work on my phone? Yes. Every view works in a phone browser. The timeline scrolls sideways inside its panel.
How do I switch between light and dark? Tap the sun or moon button at the top. Flow follows your device setting until you choose.
How do I delete my account? Email us from the address you signed up with, and we'll delete your Flow data. Individual projects and tasks can be deleted inside Flow at any time.
