Nexus Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Nexus is made by Kitchen Labs. It's a private dashboard for one owner: their projects, stock prices and news, and a practice trading account that uses pretend money. This page says, in plain English, what happens to your information when you visit it.

The short version

  • Nexus has one account: its owner's. There is no sign-up, and visitors can't create an account.
  • The demo needs no account. It shows a fixed sample of Nexus's own data with personal details removed, and stores nothing about you.
  • There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

What we handle, and why

If you try the demo. Tapping Try the demo sets one cookie, nexus_demo, in your browser. It only tells the site to show sample data instead of live data, and it expires after 12 hours (or when you tap Leave demo). The demo can't sign in, trade, change a setting or fetch live data, and it sends nothing about you anywhere.

Light or dark mode. If you switch between light and dark, your browser remembers the choice on your own device (in its local storage). It is never sent to us.

The owner's sign-in. The single owner account signs in with a password through Supabase, which hosts Kitchen Labs' database. That sets the usual sign-in cookies for the owner only.

Hosting. The site runs on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps standard request logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) to run and protect the service.

What Nexus stores

The owner's project notes and activity log; public stock prices, headlines and company filings from free sources (Alpaca, Finnhub, Yahoo Finance, Stooq and the SEC); and the practice ("paper") trading account at Alpaca, with its pretend-money orders, holdings and results. None of it is information about visitors, and none of it is real money: Nexus only talks to Alpaca's paper-trading service.

Headlines link to the original articles on other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

What we don't do

No advertising, no analytics tools, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling or sharing of data. We don't ask visitors for their name, email, location or anything else.

Not financial advice

Nexus is a personal tool. Nothing it shows is financial advice or a recommendation to trade.

Children

Nexus is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from them.
