Common questions

What is Nexus? A private dashboard for one owner. It brings their projects, the prices and news of the stocks they watch, and a practice trading account into one place.

Can I make an account? No. Nexus belongs to one owner and has no sign-up. Anyone can click through it with Try the demo on the sign-in screen.

What is the demo? The whole app running on a fixed sample of Nexus's own data, with personal details removed. You can open every page and press every button. Buttons that would trade, save or fetch live data tell you what they would do instead; nothing is saved or sent.

Is any of this real money? No. The practice account is "paper trading": pretend money at Alpaca, a stock broker. Nexus only connects to Alpaca's paper-trading service, so it has no way to place a real order.

Why do the prices look old? Prices refresh every weekday morning and every 45 seconds while the Stocks page is open. When the US market is closed, the last price of the day stays until it opens again. System shows when each refresh last ran.

What is the "helper computer"? An always-on Mac that runs the trading strategy and writes the morning research brief and the end-of-day report. It checks in every minute; if it hasn't for 3 minutes, Nexus shows it as offline.

How do I leave the demo? Tap Leave demo at the top of any page, or clear the site's cookies. The demo also ends by itself after 12 hours.

Light or dark? Tap the moon or sun button at the top. Nexus starts in whatever your device uses.
