Common questions
How do I play? Pick a mission on the map. Each one is a short story: read the scene, then pick what you do. Missions pay XP and gold. Every new level gives you a point to raise a stat, and the store sells gear, potions and tools. The menu (top right) has the rules in five lines.
What do the percentages on choices mean? They're your chance of pulling it off. Green is likely, amber is a gamble, red is a long shot. The stat icon shows which stat the choice uses: raise that stat, or buy gear for it, and the chance goes up.
What happens if I fail? A failed check usually costs you some health, and the story goes a different way. If your health reaches zero you're knocked out: the mission fails, you lose anything you found on it, and you can try it again from the map. Your health is full again at the start of every mission.
Some choices are locked. They need a tool you don't have yet (sold in the store) or more gold. The locked choice says which.
How do I open the next region? Finish three missions in a region, and its last mission unlocks. Finishing that one opens the next region and new stock in the store.
How long is it? About 40 to 45 minutes to reach an ending if you play every mission, a little less if you rush. There are four endings; friends you make along the way open new paths near the end.
Where is my game saved? In your browser, after every choice. Come back on the same browser and tap Continue.
Can I move my game to another device? Yes. Open the menu, copy your save code, and on the other device choose Load a save code and paste it in.
The title screen says the browser isn't letting the game save. Your browser is blocking site storage (common in private windows). The game still plays; copy a save code from the menu before you close the tab so you can pick up where you left off.
How do I start over? On the title screen, choose Start a new hero. It replaces your current save, so copy its save code first if you want to keep it.
My save code doesn't load. Copy the whole code again, from the first letter to the last. Codes start with UPG1. and a missing or changed character stops them loading.
